He spent the night but never made a move?

I met a guy on a dating app, we talked a bit and decided that we wanted to meet. I invited him over and poor guy had hell getting to me ( his truck ran out of gas and broke down but he still showed up). We sat in my room listening to music and talking. That's it. We just lied beside each other not even a shoulder touching and talking until he fell asleep. He had a hard day so I didn't wake him until the next morning when we said our goodbyes and he left. This is sounds like a good thing but I can't help but feel that to a guy maybe I was friend zoned. What do y'all think?

This is a strange situation, because he spent the night with you but didn’t make a move. Maybe he is trying to play some mind games or something? This reminds me of the time a fiend who was a girl asked me to help her carry her shopping into her room and then we went to get ice cream later. I wasn’t sure what was going on really, but in my defence I hadn’t really been in that situation before.

If he went to sleep with you next to him and made no move, it’s possible he could just be lonely, he just broke up with someone or he was waiting for you to make a move. A very strange event indeed.

I would not say friend zoned based off of one experience. If that was your first time meeting, there is no reason to expect anything more than what you described. What did you expect to happen is my question?

Obviously, there is something that didn't happen that you expected. Maybe use the update box and update the question with what you thought should have happened and didn't. Us users can give better opinions that way.

From the details provided, I don't think he friend zoned you. What you describe is a normal first date... talking and getting to know each other. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the next few dates are similar.

It takes a while to get to know someone and determine if the two of you click. He is taking it slow. I would take that as a good sign opposed to him trying to get in your pants the first night. At least he was gentlemanly enough to avoid that mistake, unless of course that was your goal.

I'm not sure what to think, if you think he's cute and you're interested in him I think you should give it another try. Have more conversation. Tell him that you like him if you like him. Maybe he wanted you to be the aggressor. For you to make the first move?
