Why did my cheating ex boyfriend unblock me on Instagram? after 6 months of being broken up and 4 months of being blocked?

My cheating ex boyfriend just recently unblocked me about 2 or 3 days ago out of the blue on Instagram and he also still has the dm that I sent him back in July after he had blocked me on delivered still ( he hasn’t read it) and why is he now unblocking me on Instagram when we’ve been broken up for about 5 or 6 months now and I had been blocked by him for about 4 months now

And everyone keeps telling me that he’s probably doing it because he feels a certain type of way about his behavior and about him cheating on me and he’s doing it because he misses the relationship but doesn’t know how to reach out or what to say necessarily

Yeah I get that but I don’t be understanding why do most people do this I feel like if your no longer dating that person or isn’t friends or isn’t cool or anything then what’s the point of going back out of the blue unblocking an ex for that’s weird to me

That’s the thing he doesn’t have a right to be mad because he’s the one who cheated on me which caused us to break up back in may of this year so it’s funny how 2 days ago he just all of a suddenly just unblocks me out of the blue on Instagram and has not said anything but wants to unblock me and then he still has the dm that I sent him on delivered on Instagram cause I just recently had a conversation with him last week and it didn’t go well because he was being dismissive and was being avoidant so his actions are very curious atp

I know he did a wrong thing, but people who cheat aren’t exactly rational so it’s hard to understand their behavior. Perhaps he wants to get back together.

And when I reach out to him last week about something super important about come of his close friends even though he was being dismissive when we was talking through my back up account on Instagram at the time he was making inappropriate comments like why are you texting me is it because your bored or because you want your pussy ate ( vagina)
