He’s looking for either a distraction (if he had something end recently) or a good time, and even that could be because of a recent split. He’s testing the waters to gauge how you’re feeling. If you approve his request, at some point he will either start liking, commenting or send you a DM as a feeler. Each action is him seeing if he still has a chance and if I were you I wouldn’t even entertain it. I cannot think of a single instance for myself or any other friend where we’ve reconciled with an ex and in the end it worked out. Nope, it’s usually nothing new from them.
