Should I be mad at boyfriend?

I had a baby three weeks ago and I had to get a C-section... I asked my boyfriend to take off to help me around the house... and we also have a toddler. So it's a lot for me. I notice my incision is leaking and I looked at it and it's opening in the middle. I'm mad at myself because I was climbing stairs constantly and carrying a toddler around... I also have a high bed too. I never got the proper rest. All he wanted to do was rush back to work. My mom helped twice but she had to work. I just have a lot of anger... im mad.

He should be taking care of his child. Is he not getting time off work? Even men are supposed to have some sort of paternity leave.


I think men should have the same amount. Plus it would definitely help women out as well.

Nope... I told him early before I gave birth and he still didn't do it. I told him and show him pictures of my incision... he didn't respond. I called it this morning... he said he can't be on the phone at work. It's like he doesn't care.

It’s a tough situation but asking one to take off work in this economy and risk employment is not good either. Work does not see this as necessary

Pretty sure I spoke to you about this when it first was happening, and you said he didn’t want another baby. I’m not saying he’s right, it’s messed up, but you can’t be surprised either.

You’re absolutely correct, but he’s already told her where he stands and she can’t push him into being more helpful. He just wasn’t the best guy to even risk pregnancy with.

I can see your relationship ending since he’s not even being there through your injuries/sickness which is important to keep a relationship together.
