Do guys ever want to be just friends with girls or is there always mostly an agenda of waiting until you are ready to make a move on her?

It depends upon the situation.

I consider many of my wife's female friends to be my friends.

Beyond those women, of course, there's a little part of me that's probably always angling for future possibilities, not that I would act on any opportunities in my present state of being wedded.
