Why is the guy I had a fling with speaking to my friends when we’re not speaking?

So I had a short fling with a guy recently, stayed together for 4 days but it went horrible and granted he was immature because he is significantly younger than I am.

I had hooked up with him once a year before too but we live in different countries. It didn’t go so well because he did some very disrespectful stuff and in turn I did it too. We were both hurt by the end of it and then he left. We don’t speak anymore cos I can’t look past it and he knows he can’t say anything for what I did.

now the weird part is that he watches my stories and sometimes messages my friends that he met through me random things and he also spoke about the situation to a mutual friend saying he was hurt. It’s been two months now and he randomly dm-d my gay guy best friend something of interest (art)
