In The Hulk 2003, why does The Hulk just willingly give himself up to the military? Why doesn't he keep trying to run away?

He spent about 20 minutes of the film trying to escape them. Why would he then let betty calm him down and then go with them?

Because he loves her. The only person that calms him down

Fair, but why wouldn't he go somewhere else and calm down? Like evade the military, calm down, then talk to betty?

He’s the hulk if you attack him he gets angrier. If they did him just you actually shouldn’t be able to beat the hulk sense he just gets more angry. And the the anger he gets the stronger he gets and more irrational. not fighting him is actually the best way to win.

Alright, well I only ask this question because I miss this hulk and wanna see more of him get to a happier place and I feel like he could have evaded the military and have a more cooler climax that people understood more like he evades the US Military, hides and confronts his father and he turns into that absorbing man energy being thing, or the US Military lets him fight go and face his father and he fights him as he turns into absorbing man or whatever and then he gets to be free and earns the right.

Either way this movie ends, he has to face his father and his father has to become powerful.

Betty could have easily left her father and the military behind and been upset with the situation and left and then locate the hulk as he escapes the military turn him into bruce and go with him in hiding
