Why did my ex and his friends obsess over the girl he slept with once when she wasn’t anything special?

She was overweight and very plain faced. But him and a few of his friends were obsessed making a joke out of her, had a group chat named after her, saying how good she was etc.

I know I was a step up from her but I get they are all into big girls but why were they obsessed with her? They were the only people talking about hee etc it wasn’t like everyone fancied her etc it was far from that. So why?

My ex and them deemed her as much better than me

Extreme jealously is why he didn’t talk good about me. One friend joked about kissing me and he didn’t talk to him again for weeks. But he was happy to talk about this girl before me

He also was just so mad people could fancy me etc but mroe then happy and wanted his friends to fancy this girl really weird
