Why would a guy tell his girlfriend she can't talk to dudes anymore but he text females?

Because he gets jealous when she talks to dudes, but he feels great when he talks to girls. And he doesn't like that his girlfriend might feel good talking to other guys, because that might mean she could leave him for another guy. And that does not benefit him.

Yeh it makes no sense. And actually shows what he is probably doing if he's texting other girls. Only a guy that doesn't, would make a girl not talk to guys. Usually if there's no reason behind this like of trust, it's because he's quite unfaithful himself

But he is a hypocrite and maybe he is projecting himself and his own behavior if I was her in this situation, I would find someone else. If a woman seriously told me that I can't talk to other women, but she can talk to men. That would be grounds to break up for me personally.
