Why do guys play hot and cold when your not dating?

I've only know a guy for 1 month through a group of acquaintances. A few times I've seen him look at me when talking to others. This past weekend he held prolonged eye contact and I knew he was flirting with me and I said "what are you looking at" then turned back to another conversation. I saw him later that night, he barley spoke to me, be would stand close by though. He acted cold yet managed to say my name and goodbye when he left. I don't know what to think. Also I'm group settings it's not easy to talk to each other, but he never tries and has never asked me a question about myself.

There is maby possible reasons. One could be playing games. Another can be he really sees you as a secondary option but wants to keep you on the back burner. Another can be that he is losing and gaining interest.

Same reason girls do it.



If I were you. I would not engage with guys who do this kind of silly childish nonsense.
