Why do people have little to nothing on their "online dating site" profiles or bios. Are they that full of themselves to think they'd attract anyone?

I am not talking about profiles with overly attractive people or full of photographs (skimpy dress, half naked, etc.) that obviously imply these people are more into a fling, hookup, etc.

But average joe & jane profile. If I am going to try an online dating site I'm going to put something down so people reading it may find something to relate on & contact me about.

That or they honestly don't have a clue what makes a relationship work. My profile isn't 50 paragraphs long but it's clear, concise & paints someone with a nice personality, etc.

I really don't get many views though I am not unattractive (in real life I've never had an issue with say a pharmacist/pharmacy business owner at that asking for a date).

I also say that given that average joe is predominantly a divorced individual on Match at least.
