The guy I was seeing ghosted for 5 days so I geniuenly thought he left me. I didn’t check up on him because I thought if he wanted to reply he could. It turns out he’s in hospital and has been in a really bad accident. What can I say to him for this I feel so terrible!! I had no idea!!! He always went on about how he ghosted people so I assumed this happened.

Seriously, don't overthink or complicate things: tell him you were worried about him and when you didn't hear from him, did not realize he was in an accident and came to see him as soon as you heard about it.

That's it. Be there for him, ask if he needs/wants anything, and just be supportive. Best thing you can do for him right now until he feels better.
