Why do guys never hit on me?

I hear of females being approached by men all the time. But the thing is, it NEVER happens to me. Guys never approach me. I'm not gorgeous but just cute. Guys would stand there and look at me, then expect me to make the first move. Literally every single time, they just stand there in front of me. One guy slow walked in front of me but never said anything. Never smiled. Nothing. Another one was passing by my bench and just stood there and looked at me. I'm a very observant person so I can tell by reading his eyes about his intentions. But if i were a less observant girl, i would have no idea what he wanted.

is there something wrong with me why all other girls get approached and spoken to while I just get a bunch of weird zombies standing there looking at me? if they are interested in me, it should be their job to say hi or maybe start a conversation. Im not the one who is interested in them.

Serious advice: don't base your expectations on what you think other people experience. I know it's basically impossible not to do, but try to reign it in if you find yourself doing it. The fact is that you don't actually know for sure how other people feel. Plus, if you compare yourself to them believing that you are inadequate, all you're going to find is ways to convince yourself that it's true.

There aren't many girls I wouldn't want to talk to. More likely they don't approach you because they don't have a reason to/you haven't given them one.
Shameful confession: I will shoot girls looks or smiles to see if they shoot back. I don't know what I expect to happen -- smiling back at someone is not an invitation to jump into bed -- but I can tell you this: if they DON'T, they're clearly not interested, and I'm not going to approach them. I like women; I don't like harassing them. (Being stared at is already obnoxious enough.)

Maybe the truth is, those girls who got hit on are just more physically attractive in men's eyes. Or, maybe there just in the right place at the right time.
