Is it strange my partner wants to come with me everywhere but he wants to do things alone?

So he said he could come out with me and my female friend who is married and who he has only met once when we went out with her and her husband. I told him my friend was having marital problems and so next time we would probably go out alone together and he said he could still come. He doesn’t fancy my friend. I know that 100%.

He also knows I’ve got to go to another state overnight for work and he said he could come along with me to that as well… he said he wouldn’t hang around for the meeting and he’d go do something else and I was like hell no you’re not coming in on my meetings for work! Why the hell would I let you do that.

He could be concerned and a bit insecure about your friends influence over you. So of course he would want to be around to make sure she isn't planting seed in your head about how much fun you two would have tearing up the town as single gals.

He thinks you’re cheating. Maybe he’s cheating so he thinks you’re doing the same. As for your friend, how do you know he doesn’t like her? Maybe he isn’t cheating. Maybe he was cheated on in the past when an ex went out alone w out him. Maybe he thinks other men will hit on you if you and your friend go out.
