Why does this guy I messed around with keep trying to be near me?

And now at school he’s been trying to be near me like today when we were going downstairs with the rest of the class and he was walking with his friends then stopped and waited for me since I was way behind them and started walking down again once I was behind him and just tries to be in my vicinity

he doesn’t talk to me but he does this so I wonder why?

Maybe he feels as though you wouldn’t want to do it again. We’re both of you sober at the party? If not there seems to be a little more “confidence” there when you’re drunk to ask such things. Maybe he’s wondering if you liked it, or was it a disappointment. Do his friends know? You’re not like the school skank are you? I just ask because men don’t want others to know they hooked up w certain girls so maybe he’s keeping it on the down low. Maybe he has a girl already? Or someone who he likes that likes him that he doesn’t want her to find out. There could be a lot of reasons.
