Do Men Still Value A Woman That Can Cook?

Back in the day, it was basically something that was very important for a woman to know how to do. But times have changed and so has roles. Some things aren’t as important as they used to be and some men don’t expect their woman to take care of the things of the home all by herself. My question is, do you think men still place the same value on a woman knowing how to cook as they did in the past? This isn't even a question. Its a skill that should never be taken for granted. Having the skill to cook is like having the password to the wifi. Sure you can use public connections but you want something good, strong and protected, something you can rely on with no spam. Restaurants have a concrete menu and having someone that can cook can bring all your favourites into a custom dish. You know what in your food and its shows a side of responsibility in your partner. A value people overlook. I Dont know about other men but I still value a woman that can cook

Yeah but it's always about multiple things not just one. A woman who is always bitchy isn't a plus even if she can cook. Or a woman who tries hard to look like a dude is still going to be repulsive to most men, even if she's the world's best cook.

A traditional guy DOES expect his woman to cook and clean more than he will. Because he's also doing traditional rules like providing and taking care of security, repairs and so on. The problem is that traditional ways weren't really intended for DATING situations... but instead for marriage. So if you want a traditional guy you also gotta be focused on finding a guy who is worth marrying and he should be looking for a woman who is wife material.

If they like to eat, yes. If they are a chef, they probably want to use their skills to impress her. But I think a chef would want a woman that can stand the heat of the kitchen. Just my two cents. ☺️

Being able to cook will always be valued, it just isn't as much of a deal breaker anymore.

You still have to know how to cook, you just now have to know and do a lot more these days. It's not like it's gone out of fashion, everyone is just expected to have a lot more knowledge and skills these days. You have infinite access to information with the internet. I think it's funny when women think they need to try less when a man knows more. The more a man can do, the more he expects a woman to do. You're not going to get people's attention by being more inferior...

Yes we do but nowadays it’s just hard to find someone who actually does cook. A lot of women today aren’t like that, that’s why a lot of men don’t respect women these days. Yes for the women who are going to say well men aren’t the same either, I know.

I do, but i’m older. I’m also not expectant or dependent on a woman to do the cooking. I’ve been taking care of myself for almost forty years. But it’s nice when someone cooks for me. There’s love in that, and i love being loved. Who doesn’t?

I think for a large majority of guys its a double plus. +1 for long term girlfriend material. And +1 if ya make it to engaged/wife stage of the relationships.

Cooking is a basic life skill. Everyone man and woman should be able to cook! Now a good cook will always be much more valuable!
