What does it mean when a guy friend checks up on you? how should I feel about this?

We have a history since 2012 he developed a crush on me in 2014 back then we were both young and doing dumb things yesterday after seeing him yesterday something told me he still has feelings for me even though he has a girlfriend now. He didn't want it to ask me today when i posted me being in the hospital so he told my girl friend that i was at the hospital because i only posted that story on instagram and she only hits me up on Snapchat and i have not posted anything on Snapchat so the only way she found out i am at the hospital was because he went and told her.
