I get led on and played by a guy for money should I ask for the money back?

A guy that led me one also told me he was in financial trouble and said he was about to kicked out of sisters house who he is living with. So I helped him with his weekly rent twice and gave him a total of 180 dollars.

After giving him the money he started acting cold and distance and said he didn't want to date me but took the money anyway because I gave it to him.

We got into a big argument and he said if I'm not genuine he will give me my money back.

It's been days later and we haven't talked. And his with a new girl already. But I want my money back because I also found out he lied about not having any money at all and spent my money on other things besides rent.

Should I contact to ask for my money back?

No. It’s only $180. I know to some people that’s a lot who are struggling. But unless you’re really struggling w money I’d let it go. Cut your loss. I don’t think it would be worth the X amount of hours he’d be back in your life fighting him for it. It’s a small price to pay for your freedom. Change your number, block him, move on.

That’s shitty. You can but he might not. Depending on the situation and false pretenses you might be able to sue if he totally lied to you.
