Does this guy manager like me?

At my job there is this very attractive guy manager who is still learning his job still. He’s been at my job not that long like 4 or 5 months so far. I always thought he was cute when I first met him. Every time I saw him I never once thought or got a vibe if he liked me or not but last Friday he surprised me by asking me when can he take me out? I was so nervous and I didn’t know how to respond so I said yeah you can but where. When I looked back at him he was smiling and said anywhere bar, out to eat, etc. He said he will let me know when he direct message me but, he hasn’t reached out and it has me thinking maybe he doesn’t like me. Should I reach out instead or just wait this out?
