Boyfriend acting weird?

So my boyfriend started a new job at Walmart and he’s been shaving his face everyday and cutting his hair everyday. Spraying on cologne and wearing nice clothes and checking himself out in the mirror and smiling while doing it then leaves. He had broke up with me through text one day saying we’re better off as friends and then we got back together to work on things or whatever and he’s all I’m unsure about you and not sure if we’re compatible. We been together 7yrs why say all that now? I just find it weird and feel like he likes someone he also now wants to buy a motorcycle and go to the gym and he don’t ride motorcycles and don’t know how. Maybe I’m dumb and he don’t but I find it weird I asked him if he likes someone there he told me no but I don't know

What would you do in my position I moved from Texas to Kansas to be with him been together 7yrs and I currently go to college here and I don't know whether to move in with my cousin in Illinois before the semester starts again or stay here. I don't know if I should ask him anything. I don't know I feel so lost
