Follow his words or actions?

I have been talking to a guy since August and I am really into him but he will text me one thing and act different in person. Like he can’t stay away from me in person but in text he will say he can’t be available that way again and he won’t be talking to me everyday anymore. Until he sees me again and the process starts all over. He is younger than me and it’s just so confusing and a play on my emotions. This isn’t something I am used to and was wondering if anyone else has experienced it.

There might be two reasons. One could be, he's busy with his job and is also bad at texting from time to time. The other could be that he gets bored easily. You should talk to him about this and tell him to improve his texting otherwise its not gonna work.

I see him on the weekends and that’s the thing he treats me like we are dating in person but goes friend mode in texts…

I get people have lives and I get texting is different but it’s what he is saying in the texts that throw me off. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Then maybe start doing phone calls? Too many people let relationships rot or end over texting. It's insane to me. The fact is guys communicate differently, and in general we hate texting. It's something that we tolerate.

I would suggest talking honestly about it with him and suggest an alternative. Maybe his writing skills suck?

I can't say that I've experienced that but I wonder if you don't call his bluff. Explain that there's In Person Jekyll and Texting Hyde and that you're happy to try to make it work but you need the one guy. Don't let him play your emotions.

I don’t mind that he has a life it’s just the two different behaviors that get me. Like he will treat me like a friend in a text but be all over me in person kinda thing.
