I don't know. Anytime I have a crush on someone I look for any little thing to use as an excuse that they like me, but usually it ends up not being real. But from what you said I can't tell if your crush likes you or not.

he may like you (or at least find you attractive) or he may just be the type to look others in the eye... if i walk past someone in a hall and we are the only 2 people in the hall i most often try to make eye contact and do a head nod, regardless of who it is

I know you will dismiss this, but you cannot show someone that you like him over stupid Instagram. Especially when you see him IRL.
