My crush never talks to me nor makes eye contact?

He is friendly and outgoing. He always chats with other girls, but he gets really awkward when he's around me. When he speaks to me, he NEVER looks at my face. He doesn't make eye contact. When he does, it's really brief, and he puts a poker face/mean face on (this really hurts me)

When we run into each other in the hallway, he dashes past me. When he's walking behind me, he attempts to go ahead of me a several times but decides to stay behind me.

In math class, when I look in his direction (because the board is on the left and he is also), he buries his head in the desk or pulls his desk to the back so I can't see him.

It's not that he knows I like him (I don't think, because I hide my feelings really well, and I haven't told anyone).

But I've never been mean to him. He's been my friend (not a very close friend tho) for 2 years.

Does he hate me all that much? :(

Can anyone please explain his behavior and/or give advice?

P.S. he's got a crush and he's not telling who- it's killing me!

Well I can't speak for your friend in particular. But when I'm developing really deep feelings for someone (usually someone I've just met) I act that way. But it's because I don't know if they feel the same way. In your case, does your friend act different with you outside of class? Do you two still talk, meet up outside of class? There could be many reasons for his behavior. If he does think you like him he may be avoiding you. You did say he wasn't that close and he might not want to make things awkward between you. But there's many possibilities so don't go on anything I say too seriously lol. Just ask him. Even if he doesn't directly tell you, you could pick up hints. Good luck ! ((;

I had a girl do the exact same thing to me, not making eye-contact, not looking at my face when talking, she talked very quiet to me, behaved awkward and was really shy when I was around. But she did use to stare at me.

I really thought she liked me, but it turned out this was not the case. I asked her why she behaved that way, but I didn't get an answer and still don't know the reason.

So this kind of behavior doesn't have to necessarily mean he likes you back. The best way to find out is to just ask him out or something.

i'm not sure this crush is going anywhere , I don't get the feeling he is interested or done anything to indicate interest . it doesn't seem like its going anywhere . have you considered any other guys as an option instead that might actually be interested ?
