this guy in my class is always asking the weirdest questions. especially to girls. if me and my friend are sitting near him he asks us things like. would you want to hang out with me? and then one says no then he asks the other girl? like what 😦. is he ok? are men this desperate to just get any girl?

I am assuming that you are under 18 with this question. There is obviously issues with his maturity, self-control, and general ability to interact with others. I know he seems like is should know better and is only bringing it on himself, however, try to be gentle.
