I am not waiting for him, I am just curious why he say that cause if he comes back later and says he wants something and I am not interested or available. I will be sorry man you missed your chance.

He also keeps texting and coming over and wanting to hang out and go to movies and concerts and wanting to kiss me, it seems like he is saying, through his actions he wants something serious but his words say he does not.

I remember being a confused young guy. There's no sidestepping the hormonal drive of the male... he wants female... his body and hormones demand it as part of the circle of life... and you are his object of desire! You sexy object you!

The problem is... his emotions aren't quite up to "par". It should be love, maybe it is, but he's not sure of himself, not secure, scared, doesn't feel like a man, nor responsible, etc.. If he masterbates, and there's a 99.999999% chance he does to your wonderful image, then he's draining that drive on a daily basis. Besides that, he's got doubts, fear, insecurities at his core. So... he puts up "barriers" to entry into his heart. He's in a battle with himself against nature.

The common problem today with women... to put it in analogy... the child wants "a big slice of yummy cake"... so they just hand it to them. Then they expect the child to be happy and give in return, but they don't... they just wander away, maybe a little sick to their stomach, often to be never heard from again.

Based on everything you're writing I get this sense that he wants a friend/companion (hang out, movies, concerts) and I sense this leaning toward friends with benefits (kiss [which would lead to more]).

So, in some ways (refreshingly) I think he might be telling the truth -- he doesn't want what might be his definition of serious: title of boyfriend/girlfriend; responsibilities and commitments of relationship; etc.

On this one I'd tell you to face it head on/call his bluff. Tell him, "this is what I see" -- what do you want?" and take it from there. Again, he may genuinely want to hang with you, but at least get him to articulate that.

No, that doesn't mean forever necessarily. It could though. There is no way to tell what someone is going to think or feel in the future. That is just something that you wait and see what will happen if you have the patience.

Your description of this guy's behaviour indicates something else though. It appears he does not want to commit to you but wants all the benefits of a relationship, including the physical part. I would be cautious with his intentions.

If you are just friends, there should be not kissing or any sort of intimacy. Look at it this way... how many of your friends do you kiss? Now, you can hang out and do things like you would with any of your other friends. There is nothing wrong with that as long as he is aware that it will remain that way.

To me, it looks like he wants in your pants and yet cannot commit to you as a boyfriend. He may be angling for a friends with benefits type of situation. I cannot say that for sure, but it is what it feels like to me.

I have fallen for this before, don't wait for him. He may never be ready and you may miss good chances with others in the mean time. If someone is not ready or doesn't want anything serious then beware.

He may be pushing for a sexual relationship or friends with benefits while keeping his options open and if he gets that, you may become one of many he has going.

He might not even be single, which is why he doesn't want anything serious as he is already in something serious.
