Why are men so hard to be friends with?

I mean, I have a couple of guy friends but I think I’m about to lose one of them because he just seems always annoyed with me. But, he’s ok with other friends. I always treat my friends good and with respect, but maybe I’m doing something I’m not aware. Men, what do you think? What are your thoughts?

Maybe, if we have to jump through those hoops about 3 dates in... Well, sometimes we have to play along with the woman mess...

It could be that he's facing the dichotomy between male and female though patterns. Yes, there's enough in common between you two that you can find things to talk about and enjoy mutually, but other aspects of your personality don't jive well. He doesn't want to remove you from his life, as that would be the easiest solution, but he also isn't able to internalize his frustrations either. I see that you've already distanced yourself from him- otherwise I'd suggest bringing it up, and citing exact examples, to see if it's something you are actually doing wrong of if he's projecting some sort of stress onto you.

Are you attracted to him? It's possible you may have showed signs of attraction without knowing it, which he did not reciprocate and thus his behaviour.

I honestly think he just finds me annoying and everything I say or do annoys him. I’ve had past experiences with “friends” where this has happened.

Let’s say I was attracted to him, I know better to not show my attraction. I’m always careful on that because I had bad past experiences on that too. The outcome is never pretty.

Most of the time it is. I’ve been there done that because I’ve had female friends who were total bitches. Thankfully, I have one good female best friend. As for guys? It’s also 50/50 with them because I never had good luck with.
