Why is it so hard to be friends with other guys?

I've only had a few guy friends in my life and the rest have been girls. I don't know why but it's always like this. Now I wanted to make more guy friends because, well, I'm a guy too, but it seems so difficult. Like I tried to make friends in my classes but only became friends with some girls again. When I try talking to other guys or working with them, they usually don't say that much and go back to their friends eventually. Its so weird too because in some of my class, there's guys always talking to each other, even if they aren't friends, but no one ever starts talking to me.

I don't know how to even approach it anymore because girls have been more open while talking and working, which eventually leads to becoming friends, but guys don't do this usually...

What am I doing wrong, or what should I be doing?

At your age, you have to float around guys with similar interests and hobbies, or they're not gonna be interested in being your friend.
When I was in highschool, I hung out with the quiet music nerds and stoners, while the more outgoing sporty dudes wanted nothing to do with me.
Find your clique, or keep hanging with girls. That's highschool bud

Most guys are gay. I like to fuck women, make money, combat sports, boats, motorcycles, guns, build things, smoke cigars... most men don't like ANY of that stuff. They like video games and ig circle jerk sessions and smoking weed constantly.
