Ugh, help me? Need advice?

My almost 4 month old puppy was doing amazing going outside to potty! And now he's not going it snowed this afternoon and he's so excited by the snow. He runs around the backyard.

But he isn't going potty he's been going inside.. he even went to the spot he usually goes sniffs around and runs around some more. I stood out there for a while. It's so discouraging.. I hope he gets it soon

The snow is new to him. He's so excited to run around and play in it that he forgets to go potty. When he sniffs the area that he used to go potty it doesn't smell like before so it doesn't send his brain a signal.

He finally went! He got the running out of his system and went. So I'm so thankful lol I gave him a reward and I hope he will go again

That's good that you rewarded him. Reward him every time he goes outside.

the snow was new for him.
One of our EMTs was telling me the same thing this morning about her puppy.
We just got dumped on and when she took him out it was the same thing, he forgot all about why he was outside.
She had to get to the station for her shift, so her husband took him out and the 2nd time was the charm.
Patients is a virtue with puppies.
1 step forward 2 steps back at times.
