English is my first language and I've never come across this term before. Not how you're using it here anyway.
"to take the piss out of someone or something" usually means to subdue by force. To fight. To fuck-up someone. And I associate that with being an older British expression (could be wrong about that). It's something an old guy might say to you in a pub meaning he's gonna fuck you up (physically. In a fight).
It's... really not an expression you hear often (if ever). And if it's even related to this expression at all: It would be some weird version or usage of it, unique to the person who said it. In other words... this means nothing clear... even if your English and slang knowledge was perfect.
But... maybe... they meant you are someone who "takes the piss out of things or people". Meaning that you're tough, a fighter, someone not to be fucked with, someone who routinely "takes the piss out of people and other obstacles."
Now, that's a stretch. I am by no means confident that's what was meant by this in your situation. But if that explanation makes any sense to you... possibly it could be that.
This is not the fault of your lack of English. This is someone who said something very unusual that would have confused anybody.
