It's because you're almost 30 and you wasted your time with guys who did not care about in your early 20s. He knows you are looking to have kids and take his money away from him now that he's successful in his 30s. He knows you would not want him when he was a broke college student. So he is picking an old lady who can't have kids or take his money away from him.
