Sweetheart, it absolutely does not make sense. You may want to look up about narcissistic personality disorder and it’s symptoms. It sounds like that might be what you’re dealing with. The first problem is the lame excuse for not contacting you in the second problem is him saying he wants to be friends with you “for now”. Both of which are at the very least manipulative and at best abusive and 47 years old and the best advice I can give you is to pick better friends. Let this asshole go and never look back. You’re the best thing to ever happen to him and he’s an idiot.
