My boyfriend was invited to a bday of his friend and said to me:"this Sunday we won't see each other, im going to Davids bday"

later i asked what he gonna buy him as a present, he said he doesn't know and maybe he won't even go because he has no money rn to spend for a bday...

But yesterday we saw this friend, ok... and he asked me:" well, you are coming to my bday as well, right?"

I was confused and mumbled smth like :"well hehe im not sure im cominnnn?"

Staring at my boyfriend All confused.

He goes smth like: "yeah sure"

So... later he was like:"he only invited me to his bday, he didn't tell me come with your girlfriend. The cunt made me look like i didn't want you To come, which is not the case"

So... im confused... my boyfriend is a liar or is his friend for real didn't invite Us at first?

I asked if he wants me to come and he genuinly looked like he wants me to come And meet his friends

So we are going together tomorrow🙄

I don’t think he lied. I just think he doesn’t want to assume that it was ok to just bring you especially if his friend asked if he was coming to his party. “He” being him, a single individual, not both of you. It could go either way. He could have asked if it was ok to bring you, but at the same time maybe he didn’t want to put his friend in an awkward position by asking. I’ve always lived w this, never ask to be invited if you weren’t invited by the person directly. So for your man to ask about inviting you may have been one of those situations. But since his friend asked you, now you have the green light to go. Don’t turn this into a big mess.
