Guys, what would you do if you have a period for a day? Do you know what to expect?

Plenty of Naprogesic for period pain, have pads on standby or tampons 🤣
Thanks for the upvote @Pinay_ako š
Pretty much what the guy in the pic is doing.

Hidradenitis is a nasty thing. Especially if you get an abscess on the scrotum, and then it begins to drain itself while you're riding down the road to New Port Richey from somewhere in Georgia, and your underwear is ruined by the time you get to your destination, and you're miserable everywhere. And then you're accused by relatives of not knowing how to wipe yourself, who cut in and judge you before you can even finish explaining that it's an abscess causing the problem, and that your underwear is full of dried blood. And then your grandparents continue to insult you with sermons on wiping, as if they didn't hear a word you said, and they imagine you're still an 8-year-old, because they can't accept that it's not 1991 anymore.
That happened in 2004. I imagine a period must feel like that somewhat.
Thank you for sharing that tasty tidbit. š«š¤¢š¤®
Well, I've heard from lots of women what it's like so, I'd have SOME idea but, as I have no way of knowing what it actually feels like, I can't really say how I'd deal with it but, although I've heard women bitch and complain about the cramps, I've never seen a single one of them spend the day in bed or stay home from work just because they got a visit from their aunt Flo. Even when they're riding the red pony, you'd never be able to tell! They're just as chipper and pleasant as any other time!! And, I remember when I was a kid and I'd hit one of my ex-sisters, it was never more than a slap but, they'd act like I hit them with a battleship!! In as such, if they can't even take a little hit like that without crying about it, chances are, those cramps aren't anywhere NEAR as bad as they claim!
Unfortunately, I know exactly what to expect. And ideally I'd just eat a few crackers with water, take ibuprofen, put on a hot/cold pain patch, lay down and sleep it off for a few hours. But if it'd still be a toss-up when and where it happens, then realistically it would look more like: find a place to lay down, throw up, lay down and sweat it out for a few hours. One of the things I look forward to losing most when I finally get medicated. 🩹
OMG... I can hear all the loud moans, groans and shouts of "Does No One Care that I'm Dying Here".
If I knew nothing beforehand? Visit a hospital. Not exactly something my body should be doing!
If I know? I'd probably go about my day as normal. Try different activities. Journal it. Do some ratings for pain, discomfort, so on. Quite frankly if it was only a day I'd happily try it for the broader horizons' sake.
No idea what to expect, and I think that is precisely why it would most likely be tough to endure. Women have a high pain tolerance when it comes to period pains because they experience it every month. I think the average man would adjust just the same, because a lot of us bang ourselves up and then keep it moving to the point where its considered bxtch behaivior if you show pain as a man. So I don't know where this idea of men not being able to handle pain came from, but it's simply not true.
I think I would kinda know what maybe to expect from hearing/reading about period symptoms from girls. But as a guy I wouldn't ever really know what it would be like unless your hypothetical was possible. But I would want to know in order to understand what periods are like for girls.
Canāt be much worse than an infected tooth, I had nerve pain for a month once and was in agony every day after pain relief stopped working. However I would note I did exactly what a lot of women do on their period lol. I stayed in bed and tried to take my mind off it with entertainment and just endured it, when I was at work I took it a little easier but again the premise was the same endure as itās all you can do the same way women just have to endure it and go about their lives.
That sounds horrible but periods arenāt just about discomfort they make you feel weird too like I know if itās coming when Im all anxious and sad. Also itās kinda nasty you can look fat and smell the blood it makes me self conscious even though i take care of it and I shower everyday.
I see so it messes with your emotions aswell, that sucks. I kinda know what thatās like itās different I know but I have bpd so Iāll feel sad or angry one minute and happy the next. I guess Iād try and be mindful of my mental state the same way as I am with my illness and just remind myself of how the situation around me actually is by observing rather than getting upset about how itās appearing to me right now. Itās not the easiest thing to do I stumble with managing it the same way Iād imagine Iād stumble with managing something like that but over a long time I think I could cope but at the end of the day this is my perspective looking in to something that affects everyone slightly differently for instance I hear for some women itās mild and others get horrible ones that make them throw up and such
Yeah youād probably be ok with it then āŗļø it can be hard, itās so frustrating feeling moody for no real reason like Iām normally totally a happy calm person but then every month Iām the opposite š¬ Yeah I used to throw up like that Iād miss school every month.
I honestly don´t know because maybe I´m too oblivious to recognize but since I´ve never been in a relationship I rarely met or have spent time with women being on their period. I therefore don´t know what I would do and how I could handle that.
This 5 minute comedy sketch by Margaret Cho sounds about right (contains profanity):
I'd start hyperventilating then id scream "MY DICK IS BLEEDING, OH GOD OH FUCK FJFNFBCJDMNCN"!. after my epileptic fit finishes there would be a flash of light and I'd burst into a pile of flaming skiddles.
Random fact, but did you know some cramps can be so painful they are on the same level as giving birth?
I remember I would sometimes get the cramps that would literally bring me to my knees. I could not stand on my feet it was so painful. I would ask my mom like, "Is that how it is when you are giving birth?" And she would always say, "Worse." But now I know I have experienced a little snippet of what child birth feels like and it's mind blowing.
Not all of us turn into little babies!
I know what to expect. But I'm not going to pretend I'd handle it as well as you ladies do. Not even close. I'm under no illusions about how much it sucks to have a period. I am genuinely glad I don't have to cope with that. 🙂
I had a chick suck on my weiner too hard... think she ripped my pee pee hole or something. I had to wear pads and I bled for a couple of weeks.
I survived.
I would use pads and remember how it feels when ladies have their time of the month.
Well some people actually believe itās possible for āmen to have periodsā nowadays (not talking real biological hermaphrodites either) so go figure.
All I can say is:
If men had periods, they would be dramatic af lol. It'd be so funny. Tbh, cramps hurt a lot though.
See if I could find adult diapers assuming we keep our genitals the same and we are bleeding from our balls instead.
