Why are guys in churches weird?

I'm a christian. But the guys... They're scared to talk to women even if it's platonically. They don't believe in female and male friendships because they never talk to me.

It could be that they don't want people to think that they're only there to meet women.

Personnally, I struggle with social anxiety. Years ago when I was coming out of church, I passed all the normal people standing around socializing and made a bee line straight for the door. As I emerged outside there was a nice young woman standing there who smiled and said "Hi". I did the same but kept waking all the way to my car. She probably thought I was strange or unfriendly but I was freaked out from being around so many people in a social situation.

You may want to see what oportunities there are to volunteer at this church where you would be working with people. Maybe chaperoning the youth group or youth dance.

Nah guys in general are jumpy around women now days. If one girl gets pissed you can get cancelled.
