Question for Christians about guys’ behavior?

Hey y’all I have a question cuz this is a little confusing.
So I’ve been talking to this guy.
Yes I’ll admit, we’ve been falling for each other a bit. . . Maybe more than a bit. . .

But anyway, today was interesting. He started sending me a few quotes from Song of Solomon.
We’re not to the point where we say “I love you” or anything like that.
So in the quotes he sent me, he cut out the “my love” parts lol.
But aside from that sent me full quotes. Such as, “Behold thou art fair. Thou hast doves' eyes in thy locks.” And “Thou are fair and there is no spot in thee.”

Most of the quotes he sent have something like that cut from it, but obviously he read it. . .

What do you think about this?

Has he totally fallen for me?

Is he trying to send me a message through those quotes? By sending those, secretly trying to say that he loves me?
What’s the consensus?

Man, it sounds like he's definitely into you! Sending Bible verses from Song of Songs is like, next level flirting for Christians haha.

That book is all about romantic, sensual love between a man and a woman. For him to quote passages praising your beauty and desirability is basically him saying he thinks you're drop dead gorgeous without actually having to come out and say the L word yet.

Cutting out the "my love" parts was probably his attempt to say it without fully crossing that line into expressing love outright. But c'mon, we all know what he was getting at by choosing those specific quotes!

I'd say you've definitely got him hooked, sis. He's testing the waters of expressing how much he likes you through God's love language, which is clever. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes it officially asking you out soon.

Yes it sure can be 😂 until now, I’ve actually never talked to someone for very long. The longest was 7 months. Never had an official boyfriend, anything lol. So that’s why I maybe seem clueless 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I'm not Christian but, Sounds like he is. As I understand it Song of Solomon is basically a book of erotic poetry, so I'd say he wants to seduce you, but wants Biblical cover/ justification for his desire. My opinion stops here, I have lots of other thoughts, but I have a decidedly anti-Christian bias. I won't burden you with that unless you ask.
