Apparently, it comes from Tik Tok (I personally don't use this social media but this time I feel like they are onto something).

Red Nail Theory means that: "Men are especially attracted to women wearing red nail polish, and that attraction exists because men remember seeing their mothers and teachers wear red nail polish when they were children"

Do you agree with it?

I personally think that if a guy approaches you or comments on your red nails it's because red is simply a gorgeous rich color and a color of passion, sex. That's why many men like red lipstick on women and/or red dress, red anything.

I can see that in a sense , Red is sexy on a girl and yes red indicates Love like Red Roses , But to me a girl is more beautiful just being herself for the most part , her natural beauty and her heart attracts me more than makeup and nail polish does , But when a girl loves dressing sexy for me without me having to ask her , that is a huge turn on , it shows she appreciates me and adores me and wants to please me , when a girl stops dressing sexy for me and doesn’t put effort in to please me , then that’s a huge turn off , to me it means she is checking out and doesn’t really care about what I think or feel , but she will have no problem dressing sexy going out with her friends , that’s when I kick her to the curb where she belongs

When a woman is ovulating her cheeks become slightly more red, as do her lips, in order to trigger stronger sexual arousal in men. That’s the reason women use blusher and red lipstick in order to look more attractive.

Red just seems to be a colour that arouses men for those reasons.

It's been well established that men overwhelmingly prefer red polish over any other color. Cleopatra wore red polish, and so did probably 90% of the female population for centuries. Then, about 15 years ago, this big 'Polish Rebellion' took off, and many women decided that, no matter what they wore, it would something other than red. That's all well and good, but they'll change the simple fact that red is what we, as men, prefer.

I think that it started largely as a pushback of sorts, against women's treatment by society in general. It may also, to some degree, be political in nature, you know, red versus blue. If I could give the ladies a recommendation, if you don't want to wear red, for crying out loud, please don't wear green nail polish, especially on your toes. That's just downright scary... lol
