I’ve heard so many stories that men would assault women just for saying how they feel about said guy. I’ve never had a guy be violent with me, but I have been bullied and it’s why I’m scared to tell a guy I like him in case he does want to hurt me.

I figured out that men will only act mean towards women they find unattractive. I know because I’m a prime example and I’ve actually observed their behavior. It makes sense 🤷‍♀️

What you just wrote here... is not "a thing." Now I'm not saying that in the history of mankind, no psychopath has ever beaten up a girl who told him he liked her. There are random stories of people doing all sorts of insane shit.

But this is not something any guy would ever do. Not unless he is violently crazy. Only a psychopath would ever do this. This is exactly as common as it is for men to punch random old lady's in the street. Sure, it's happened somewhere... for sure! But it would be ridiculous to ask "men, would you ever punch an old lady in the street?" The answer is "of course not... nobody would... except a literal crazy-person".

So I have never ever heard of this happening. Not ever. Wherever you're getting these ideas... honestly... it's some really messed-up stuff that's nothing close to reality. You need to look at where you're getting this information, and switch up the people you're listening to. They don't know anything about anything. This is not a thing that guys ever do. It's just not. In regards to your update. When 100% of respondents not only would never do this... but have never even HEARD of it happening... you've got to start to wonder if maybe you're wrong about this. The ugliest girls do not get assaulted for telling a guy she likes him. That is not a thing. I am not saying you haven't heard about it happening one time. I'm sure that's true. But thinking there is ANYTHING to that... beyond an isolated incident, is wrong. You are living in a fantasy land, if you think that this is something any woman worries about, ever. My intent is not to "berate" you. It's like someone who is legitimately afraid of going outside because they're convinced they'll be attacked. It's sad to see someone suffer because of an irrational (although plausible. Some people have been randomly attacked just for going about their business outside. But nobody should be afraid to leave their house because of it).

So really, I have no investment in whether you believe this or not. It's only for your own benefit that I've even been trying to convince you of this.
