Because nursing chews you up and spits you out. You’re completely exhausted after a shift. You typically work 12 hour shifts, sometimes longer, and your social life consists in trying to catch up on sleep mostly.

I’m a nurse. Most nurses are miserable, stressed out, and very, very overworked. Many of us drink. Most have bad relationships or none at all.
