Why does he move away from me when I get closer?

I have a guy that I am interested in he gives some mixed signals. It’s hard to tell. One of his friend wants to get with me so he texted me saying if he could give him my number then I’m like no why do you want me to date him then he’s like nah I don’t. He will tease me and I will tease him. We joke around but everytime I get near him he slightly moves away I don’t do it on purpose thou. The other day I was playin a hand game with everyone and
played it with him and initially he stocked out his hands and he’s lower body was like far like far far so jokingly I grabbed his arm pull him closer and I said I don’t bite then ge didn’t wanna okay the game anymore but I do that to everyone it was playing obviously he knows but still. Before you guys say anything I don’t stink I’m clean I smell good I’m nice he knows I play a lot. Why do I think he’s giving me mixed signals? Because when I talked about me liking someone he kept pushing to know who it is, he watches everything I post in my story, he looks at me a lot he lets me like let me touch his arm and his hair. in the car I was like what do you guys think about my hair then he’s like go ask blank his friend. Then he’s like it’s long he’s gonna pull on it. We tease eachother a lot. We have held hands before during a scary movie nothing bad. I’m older than him 3 years. Like sometimes I feel like he’s crushing even if it a little and other times no. Sometimes he’ll talk about other girls in front of me and distance himself physically when I get closer nit too close.
