Boyfriend is completely silent when I cry?

I love 2 hours away from my boyfriend, been together for a year and half. He’s very happy with me and really want to get married to me, but there is a problem. When we are on the phone and we argue about something and I cry he is just silent listening. He doesn’t say anything, like nothing at all. I can cry for an hour or two and the only thing he will say is sorry or stop crying. One time he fell asleep while I was crying and taking off stuff out of my chest. It really hurt and I keep telling him to say something and he says he doesn’t know what to say. That’s it. Then I got really mad and while crying I told him that I hope I die so I don’t see him and he told me “ why aren’t you breaking up with me then, it’s good for you but not for me “ so I just kept crying and I asked him if he doesn’t get hurt by seeing me hurt and he said yes I get hurt. But yet he doesn’t say a shit and it makes me cry even more. Is this normal?

Wtf r u doing crying for 2 hrs on the phone and saying u hope u die. Grow up and get some therapy or something it doesn’t sound like ur ready for a relationship. Yeah he doesn’t say anything wtf should he say? He’s dealing with this? He listens to you and that’s more than most would do.

You aren't compatible. He's very unemotional and you are very emotional. You are looking for someone to show empathy the way you need it, he is very uncomfortable in an emotional situation and gives very blunt, direct answers without emotion.

Society has made it where if a man cries its a sign of weakness so its best we have learned to just be stoic and strong so the tears eventually stop. To cry is a choice as well.

He's letting you cope. I had to learn to leave my ex-wife alone when she's mad at me. Then I get blame for not showing her that i cared. It's a double edge sword.

If your there when he cries. He would be there for you. Some people are just awkward. But I think you should say how you feel
