WHY WOULD my old crush change gyms after he ran into me?

I had a crush on this guy back in the daaaaay when I was like 19 and it lasted for a few years. He’s 2 years older.

He knew about my crush but we never ended up dating.

Like once a year he would text me saying I’m beautiful or whatever. Once he said I’m more sexy than beautiful so who even knows.

Anyways I ran into him at my gym. When I see him, he usually just staaaaares into my soul but doesn’t say anything. And that’s exactly what happened this time.

And now I’ve discovered he’s switched gym and I never saw him again!!!

Am I really that terrible? Like why?

I would say his leaving probably had nothing to do with you, but the fact that he was staring at you intently seems notable. Is he single? Perhaps he has a girlfriend or wife and does not want to be tempted. In any case, if he is single and wanted to ask you out he had plenty of opportunity. Try not to let this take up more of your thought than it has already.

Yes he’s been doing that (staring thing) since forever lol so it’s not all new

Don't make it about you, Its not likely he changed gyms cause of you. People change gyms for all sorts of reasons. Maybe his friends are going to a different gym, maybe the other gym is better or closer to home etc.

Remember how you feel about situation, is not reality or facts. feelings are not facts. E. g you could think everyone hates you at work, but that's not reality, or facts.

Maybe he was looking for a new gym to shake up his routine. I have changed gyms sometimes because my workouts got stale so I would go somewhere else for a year just to get a different vibe and meet new people Often I would go back to the old gym with a fresh perspective.

It probably has nothing to do with you. Maybe that gym got him a better deal. Or maybe its closer to where he lives. You dont know and you shouldn’t assume anything in my opinion.

You could’ve given him a smile or talk to him that’s what happens when people have to much pride nothing ever comes of it
