Why does a guy says he is not relationship material?

That is his "polite" way of rejecting you, or telling you he doesn't want to date you.

In other words, take the hint: don't try to change his mind, convince him you're fine with that, or think he's worth wasting your time on!!! Guys like that aren't worth wasting your time on; if he does want you for anything, it's just to fool around and nothing more.

Trust me, if he wanted you, he wouldn't use that line. If a guy wants to be with you, he becomes "relationship material" as he does what he has to do to keep you happy and around.

He could have very low self esteem or (I think more likely) he doesn't want a relationship right now or with you and doesn't have the balls to say it (or doesn't want to say it because he wants to keep fucking you)
