I've always assumed this guy from church, a very quiet person, to be romantically disinterested in me. While he found some of my comments interesting and my behavior amusing over these past 9 months, he'd shrug it off and return to his normal, quiet state where I don't know what he's thinking about. He would also put on a face of "I'm not into you" or purposely avoid me (respectfully—we're still on very good terms) from time to time.
On Sunday, however, he boldly made a move on me in front of many of our church friends. During the bible study he was leading, he showered me with compliments and emphasized having a conversation with me, all while keeping the study in moderation. What may be going on in his head?
On a side note, I didn't go to church the week before. Was he repressing his feelings for me (possibly as I "don't meet his criteria") but couldn't resist the growing love he has? Are there other reasons that I may not be aware of? Why did he expressed dislike upon seeing me, if he was into me from the start?
