Scared to lose me?

i have a guy friend who i told about a yr ago that i liked him (mistake, i know). he didn't reciprocate until about a month later but just wanted to be friends. Yesterday he tells me he doesn't want more because he doesn't want to lose me. he makes sure to be in contact with me daily. It's 9am and he has already called me.

I am having trouble pulling back and not answering his calls or going out with him.

Why is it a mistake to tell people how you feel?

it really wasn't. if i wouldn't have told him my mind would have gone crazy lol. I always see and hear people say to never tell a man you're interested and to let him come to you.
