How do I tell if my situationship actually likes me or if he's just using me?

So I've been talking with this guy for about 3 almost 4 months now, we've consistently been each other's number 1 best friend on Snapchat for several weeks now and anytime I snap him he snaps back almost instantly (unless he's at work then obviously it takes him longer).
He normally doesn't start a conversation with me, I'm normally the one to start it, but he always seems very interested and not just brushing it off when we are talking.
When we're hanging out he's very talkative and sometimes picks on me but it's also mutual. If I really like someone I tend to pick on them as well, playfully of course. We have fucked once or twice if that matters, but we don't get often bc we both still live with our parents so figuring that out is a bit weird.
Please help! I need answers!

You are welcome. Some other advice: don't get into a situationship, friends with benefits, etc. unless all you want is sex. Don't agree to it thinking you can get the guy to come around if you fuck him enough. It won't happen, I promise.

if you wanted to know if he liked you you shouldn’t have slept with him. The girls leverage in the situation is sex once you gave that up you you gave up your leverage. That's where I'm confused because we always go out to eat or to the movies, stuff like that. He never lets me pay for anything. Even if say we go to the mall he'll insist on paying for that too. He always picks me up but that's because I don't have a license yet and us sleeping together is very rare.
I'm fine with just being friends with benefits, that's totally cool with me, we never really specified what was going on. I'm just trying to figure out what the end motive could possibly be.
