What does mature guy mean to you?

What do you think are the signs of an emotionally mature guy? What does mature guy mean to you? Any descriptions?

Usually I'd make a long post about it but not this time.
Instead I will give you an example:
The character Aragorn from "The lord of the rings" trilogy movies. He is a mature guy both emotionally and otherwise.
Not to mention he is very old. 😆

- He has potential to be very dangerous but he is wise enough to only use it in order to preserve peace. He is less a warrior and more a shepard, which makes for a great leader.
- He makes room for strong feelings with nuance but won't let it get in the way of the bigger picture. He is stoic, which means he knows to let go of things he can't control and work on those he can. This also means he can hold rational discussions in intense situations because he is aware enough of his own emotions to compartmentalize them for when the time for feelings are.
- He knows when his heart is taken, even when he glimpses potential in another, this means he controls himself and makes the hard choice.

Watch the movies, he is a great rolemodel if you think about it. Besides, the movies are great and by this point they are eternal classics.

I'm going to answer it from the top of my head 😅 To me, it's a guy who is emotionally available and stable, self-aware, responsible, honest, respectful, has true integrity and good judgement, can communicate and take responsibility for his words and actions. He doesn't create unnecessary drama, manipulate or play mind games.

A man who is mature handles his emotions well. For example, he doesn’t throw a temper tantrum when things don’t go his way. Also, a mature man knows how to communicate and can hold a conversation.

"Mature" to me means old. At least that's what immediately comes to mind when I think of that word.
