What are signs and actions men do when they want to be in a committed relationship with you. Do MEN know when they go on a 1st date with a woman?

I think for guys that are looking for a committed relationship, yes they know after a first date if they would consider that type of relationship with woman or not. But here is the trick, even if after the first date they totally would want a committed relationship with you, most guys would not say that out loud to you. And if they knew they didn't want a committed relationship, 50?50 if they would tell you if they thought you were interested in sex.

But here is the deal, I have met so many women that say right up front before the first date, i am only interested in long term commitment. Like that is so putting a guy on the spot. Like I just meet you I can say honestly if I want that or not with you, but I would like to take the time to find out. But you say that to a woman, and they get put off by it. They think you are emotionally immature or just want sex. Whereas the opposite could be true, they are very emotionally mature and intelligent, and they can't honestly say what they want from you in that moment.

1. A guy needs to WANT to be in a serious, committed relationship for any of this to matter. Many guys do, and many others do not. A girl cannot change a man's mind - if he doesn't want a serious relationship and you do, move on.

2. If a guy does want a serious relationship, he'll be looking for women who seem to be "relationship/wife material" for that position, and if he meets one, he'll very quickly know if he has any feelings for her or not. If those feelings don't come pretty quickly, then they never will.

3. Assuming he has feelings for her, and she seems like "relationship material" (i. e., she hasn't immediately disqualified herself), then he still needs to vet her over some amount of time, before he will be satisfied that she isn't hiding some major red flags. Assuming she passes the vetting process, he will usually initiate a relationship with her.

I mean that shouldn't be so much of a mystery because if you are looking for a committed relationship you should be searching for that.

And how do you search for that? Actively. By being upfront with what you want, what your values are and your goals are.

Anything else is just pissing in the wind. Hoping to happen upon luck by chance. Dating any guy and going through the torment of not knowing if he only wants you for sex or not.

What's the point? Just get it out there and go actively for what you want.

I would try very hard to not let my heart run ahead that quickly. The feelings that I have on a first date are generated primarily by physical attraction and lust. I don't know a woman at all and, of course, people are nervous AND trying to make a good impression on a first date, so it is not a good sample of what the person might be like as a long term partner. What I DO know on a first date - and I usually know within the first 15 minutes - is whether I am going to want a second date with a lady.

There are some guys who will never want a long-term relationship. There are others who always go for a long-term relationship if possible. Things are made more complicated by a relatively large group who makes it depend on the woman. They are prepared for commitment only if the woman seems high-quality and if it is necessary to commit to get her.

In general, I think it's great to communicate clearly what you want and listen to what he says to that, and with what level of enthusiasm. Many will back out when it's about commitment, but that cannot be helped.

Best take it slow with sex. A first commitment to be in a relationship with you and to be exclusive should best be done before the first sex. And the first sex should not be directly at the same occasion as the first kiss. This will help some men build an attachment.

One more thing to the actual question: Do not look for "signs" like how he eats his food or if he opens the door for you. Communicate with him with actual words and with body language, same as always in communication.

Well if I had the gall to say “I only want a virgin because loyalty XYZ” I would feel pretty ridiculous. The simple fact of the matter is that its not happening regardless if you want it or not. To answer your question I would prefer experience, but the point of my comment is that there is no “Choice”

If they want commitment, they will tell you. Or they may be immature and get annoyed at you for “seemingly no reason” when you do something tangentially related to other men. Do men know that on a first date? Possibly. If a women sits down on a first date and says “I like to live freely and you are my side fuck” its pretty obvious. Now I wouldn't say that is common.
