Guys, My friends with benefits told me in a middle of sexting seasion that ‘he wants me to be his’ do you think it meant anything or just sexually?

So i have this friend with benefits for like a year. In the middle of kind of sexting he told me ‘i want u to be mine so i can do whatever i want to u’ he never says something that might sound like he wants more, but lately he has been acting kind of jealous and possesive and now this.
Do you think it was something said as part of the sexting or that it actually meant something? I was afraid to ask and just kinda ignored it..
