Why doesn't he answer when I ask how he's doing?

So the guy I am seeing acts very strange from time to time. Let's say I text him to say Hi! and ask what he's up to. I don't hear from him for 5 or more hours. When he finally responds, he will ask what I'm doing or where I am or he sends me a meme or a link. However, he won't tell me what he's doing.

What is going on?

Depending on how old he isn’t maybe he isn’t glued to his phone like a lot of people are. I know my mother, some of my friends or co-workers won’t respond for a day or so, maybe a few hours but that’s cause they have lives, they have things to do, they don’t feel the need to be attached to their phones. It could be that you two have been dating for quite some time that that spark is gone of someone new, things are routine. Maybe he’s losing interest in you.
