Can you have a serious relationship with an 8 year age gap?

I’m dating someone 8 years older. He said he was only looking for something serious when we met but he doesn’t seem to take me seriously at all, he seems to objectify me and is hyper-sexual. He says it’s really just with me. Will I be able to find an older guy who is mature? Or will the age gap keep creating this situation?

I guess it's no worse than if I was dating a woman who's 24 or 22 and those are hypothetical age gaps of 6 years gap 8 years gap. I'm 29. So I'd say sure, if everyone is legal age ✌🏻
